Alexandra Wallace is a Central Coast, California based photographer of fashion and weddings.
Alexandra is a photographer known for her striking, editorial style portraiture. Whether she is working with former classmates from high school or Hollywood celebrities, her goal is to provide a relaxing experience that results in beautiful imagery. She cherishes the moments she captures, and the down-to-earth relationships she has with her clients. She was seeking a visual update to accurately reflect her brand identity. Our intention with her brand design refresh was to highlight the editorial focus of her work as a photographer, while also reflecting the sense of connection that she fosters in her shoots. The branding style also needed to maintain its versatility, to coordinate with the variety of work Alexandra shoots and the kind of clientele she would like to continue attracting. The art direction was inspired by typography-heavy design, bold statements, crisp lines, black and white, and simplicity.
We mixed simplicity with a touch of boldness to create timeless brand design that would represent her as a photographer and artist as she continues to evolve. For her primary logo, we designed a statement-making word mark accompanied by modern typography for her tagline. The small “AW” monogram and “X” accent were incorporated as subtle secondary elements to complement the word mark. We achieved a crisp, clean look through a minimalist-inspired approach with modern details. The collateral design included a business card featuring one of her photographs with a touch of gold foil.
