Deovlet Wines focuses on single vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Santa Barbara County,
alongside Bordeaux inspired blends, and sparkling Chardonnay (Myers-Deovlet, Blanc de Blanc).
Invitation Design for Central Coast Winery / Each year, Deovlet Wines hosts a weekend of themed celebrations in San Luis Obispo, with a Winemaker’s Dinner and a Pre-Harvest Open House celebration. For 2019, their theme was “Carribean” inspired. From the fare served at the dinner to the live performance by a steel drummer duo, all was chosen to convey the essence of this island destination in a way that also connected with their wine brand. With this in mind, we set out to create an invitation design with a strong sense of place, meant to conjure visions of endless coastlines and white sandy beaches accented by vibrant colors.
The custom stationery suite included bi-fold invitation cards printed on a luxuriously thick, linen stock with full color and metallic gold ink details. The front and back covers feature a subtle border of palm fronds, printed delicately with gold ink. The interior of the card reveals type in a taupe color that contrasts beautifully with colorful seashell illustrations. The coordinating envelopes were a shimmery gold tone reminiscent of glittering beach sand, with calligraphy addresses. Each guest’s address was lettered by hand in white ink. Lastly, the finishing touch was the eclectically sourced mix of modern and vintage stamps with an ocean theme.
