When your little sister is about to graduate college and tells you she would
like her announcement theme to be Llamas & Lemons, she gets Llamas & Lemons.
Custom Invitation Design – Llamas & Lemons Stationery Suite
Niki is one of those rare individuals who is equally artistically talented AND analytically driven. So, when we began dreaming up ideas for her graduation announcement cards, we set out to create an art direction that would reflect this to play up her personality. We achieved this through designing a stationery suite that was eclectically inspired. Her custom invitation design suite was themed: Llamas & Lemons.
The cards were whimsically crafted, with the back side highlighting a custom made pattern comprised of vintage llama illustrations and lemon botanicals. The vintage illustrations were refined and re-worked over a linen texture on the back of each card. A mix of minimalist inspired typography and layout paired with a bohemian style script adorned the front of the cards. The suite all came together with brightly colored envelopes, and modern calligraphy envelope addresses. The custom invitation suite’s fanciful color palette was chartreuse and clementine, seen on the envelopes and in the typography. Lastly, the announcements were to be mailed, so each chartreuse envelope was embellished by hand with brush lettered, modern calligraphy in white ink.
